Ode to Dead Cat

“Ode to a Dead Cat and Other Twisted Poetry”

Your gone, dear friend
I miss you so
It was so hard
To see you go

Your purr to never
Utter more
I found you by
The open door

Face down in dirt
Stiff as a brick
I poked you with
A pointy stick

You did not move
You did not stir
You didn’t scratch
Run or purr

My heart was broke
I went inside
I cried a tear
It did subside

So now your presence
Lingers on
Whenever I step out
Onto the lawn

With each gentle breeze
In summers heat
I smell your presence
I think its neat

Bye dear cat
It was a drag
To put you in
That plastic bag

This is a good poem, the only art I have put up so far is of a kid who’s cat is dead so I had to comment.
