My Precious Hunter

I have many cats that were all rescued from my neighborhood. This is one of them “Hunter.” He is so special to me for reasons that I cannot explain. This connection comes from somewhere deep in my soul.
A few days before Christmas, he came down with pneumonia. His doctor’s diagnosis was partially collapsed lung. It really scared me. But his antibiotics has been working so well that he is now almost completely recovered. I am so thankful to start the new year with him beside me. With love and respect to life, I have just finished painting this.

I always find the reflective glassy feel of cats eyes difficult to do, but you have captured that perfectly, super portrait and a obviously a great friend….good to know that he is getting better.

i used have two cats while i was in college and had to deliver 12 kittens once…
yeah~ i delivered them, because koko did not know what to do…
one of ‘em was weak and i tried cpr and all, but did not make it…
my heart goes out to you…

Wow! Delivering 12 kittens!!! We once had 5 kittens that were born in our house and that was a 24-hour/day job for my husband and I. That is one of our precious memories. Sorry to hear that one of them didn’t make it. She(he) must be watching over her siblings.
