ARTBLANCHE:

I continue to see my work evolve as I explore the essence of solitary narratives. I’m driven by minimalist approaches to form and composition.

BIO: I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, where I initially exhibited oils, drawings and watercolors at local venues & shows. Before graduating from high school, I was awarded three consecutive scholarships to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and pursued figure drawing and time arts. My first introduction to photography came while attending Northern Illinois University for a BFA in Visual Communication. Originally interested in landscapes and still life, the focus quickly changed to figure work again once the camera became a more fluid way of working.
I currently work as a Chicago Fashion Photographer

ON NUDES: The naked female body is like water to me. It is essential and pure. I photograph the female form to replenish my thirst for beauty. The real beauty that is hidden beneath a woman’s clothing is her humanity – not her measurements. The character of a beautiful woman is revealed when she accepts and embraces her unique differences, and no longer sees them as flaws. This attitude tells the story of who she really is, and humbles the viewer that witnesses a rare combination of vulnerability and power.

Currently exhibiting at the Zhou B. Gallery in Chicago – Curated by Oscar Friedl
