Artist's Description

I drawn the analog version of Decaying Wonderland I on 30.08.2012. I was sitting in a local boardgame club waiting for the others to finish ongoing game so that I could join.
I was in a pretty bad financial situation, after half-a-year of unemployment, it was a month before I had to resign from a Computer Science college.
So, I was thinking about decay.

I had this thought about a world where everything decays, even things that shouldn’t:
“Gold has rotten! Platinium has rusted! And in gems… in gems there are worms!”

I have drawn a gardener tending to flowers in this dangerous decaying world, when the sun and the moon are decaying, their surface flaking away, revealing rusting skeleton.

I coloured it on the same day and made some photo-prints of it. Largest of them hangs on my wall.
Recently I got back to it and put some finishing touches on it and uploaded it here.

Everything decays….
