Colored Pencil on paper, 11″ × 13.75″

An experiment in capturing the salient lines that make up the recognizable portion of a face. Nearly every photo I’ve seen of Einstein have him looking right – thus in this one, he is thinking in reverse – facing left :)

Your work is very unique and interesting. This would also be lovely as stained glass.

Thank you Dorothy. I’d never thought about this in stained glass, but I can see how that could work. thank you for the idea! And thank you for favoriting this piece too!

intense bereavement, like a mourner caught in a web of anger and abashed grey…very scary. (My daughter wrote this – she thinks your art is fascinating.) such an interesting take on Einstein. good one.

  • Wow! I love your daughter’s read of this work! I’m honored. I hadn’t thought of it that way, but now that you mention it – the man looked so very sad even when he smiled. And scary? Sweet! Thank you so much for having a look. And I welcome both of your comments, readings. Thank you!
