Lower Manhattan, NYC, as viewed facing Eastward from the former South Twin Tower. I captured the shot as a slide photograph back in May of 1997, as a tourist standing on what seemed like the top of the world.
I knew I would create this watercolor one day. What I didn’t know is that five years later, this view would only be accessible by helicopter and other flight methods due to an act of aggression against our country.
