I set out a month or so back to try and capture a stunning sunset. But as a lot of you know not every sunset is spectacular.
After sitting for an hour and a half I had about forty shots of a very un-cooperative sky.
I sat and worked on a few shots early last week and made use of Photoshop CS4 to combine two shots. One with a dramatic and well-exposed sky and the other with a decently-exposed foreground.
This shot is the result.
Taken at Mickley in Northumberland, UK
I also processed the shot in HDR and it did not look half as good as this.
A geat result Alan… the dual exposed shots have combined very well to create a great image. Lots of warmth in this that reminds me of those late summer evenings. Lovelly atmosphere in this and the light on the fields is very nice.
