I’m no longer in my Funk you’ll be pleased to hear.
I have found renewed inspiration in my photography by starting to build on my Photoshop CS3 skills.
I started covering old lessons and tutorials and found myself getting new ideas. I plan to take a week or two to stock up some new shots before I release them on RB. So I won’t be around too much until then.
I still stop by daily and take note of who’s doing what.
See you all in a few weeks
Alan

My tip: it’s a cycle.. first no photoshop..then you discover it and change every frame with it, then it becomes too much and you (ok ok would say I), so I was overdoing it too much, lesson learned and now touch it up minimal. It must be good in the camera. PS is just to correct minimal.
But he, that’s me. So much to learn and not claiming being an expert at all
Alan Rodmell:
Lol yeah I get what you mean. I found that I had actually forgot a lot that I had learned. Simple basic things that I had been forgetting to do.
They make so much difference in your work. You use them for the first time in ages and think…wow….. look what I made of that shot.

My workflow:
- load into Lightroom.
- make backup
- In lightroom I correct the white balance, cropping, curves, vibrance, sharpening
- I export to 16 bits Tiff
- In PS I normally check the levels, next the curves.
- Next I use a special filter to balance the color range
Mostly I’m done after that
If not, something is just wrong with it and it gets binned into archive (!!!, you never know..)
