Not in a Funk anymore.....

Posted about 1 year ago

I’m no longer in my Funk you’ll be pleased to hear.

I have found renewed inspiration in my photography by starting to build on my Photoshop CS3 skills.

I started covering old lessons and tutorials and found myself getting new ideas. I plan to take a week or two to stock up some new shots before I release them on RB. So I won’t be around too much until then.

I still stop by daily an…

In a funk

Posted about 1 year ago

Sorry to all my friends that I have not been as active on the bubble as usual.

I am in a bit of a photographic slump lately for some reason. I am fighting to pull myself out of it and start cranking out the work.

I am going to sort myself out this weekend I think so I apologise if I miss any of your work. I will make sure I catch up this weekend.

Wishing you all a productive week on …

Piclens

Posted about 1 year ago

I have just stumbled across an amazing little application that makes viewing pics on websites an absolute experience.

Its called Piclens

All you need to do is install the browser add-on and then you can browse compatible sites in glorious 3D. It really is unbelievable.

I have a test link to a gallery on my website server (see my profile page)

Focus Stacking

Posted about 1 year ago

I’ve just shot a Macro of a stack of coffee beans in low-light at F4.0.

The shot is completely in focus. Every single bean.

How did I do this? I found a tutorial on Focus Stacking. I could explain it to you but Its probably better to let this expert tell you.

Try it – you will be amazed

Constructive or Destructive?

Posted about 1 year ago

Having recently read a scathing attack on the lack of constructive criticism here on RB I am retaliating as such.

I do believe that we all have our individual styles of work. We like what we like.

We are all individuals in the world of Art.

If I browse work and I don’t like what I see I don’t comment. If I like it but can offer constructive criticism I tend to BM the artist and o…

Woohooo 10,000 views

Posted about 1 year ago

Who’d have thought it… I have just past 10,000 views from 160 pieces since Aug 07.

Thanks to all you guys and girls on RB for taking the time to view, comment and criticise my work.

I can say in all honesty that I would have been unlikely to have progressed so far in my work without RB.

Next stop…..20k!!

Who do I look like?

Posted about 1 year ago

Having produced two self portraits while here on RB I have had lots of comments saying I look like someone but they just can’t remember who.

The shots are Self Torso and Self Portrait...

Battery Woes

Posted about 1 year ago

I haven’t been taking many photos of late as I am having trouble with my crap rechargeable batteries for my camera.

I use Energiser 2100mA AA batteries with a standard charger. I use two sets of four for my Pentax K100d. Lately they have been lasting barely half an hour at most even after a full charge. As it takes 8hrs + to charge a set with my current charger I am often without batterie…

How can it be??

Posted about 1 year ago

I like to have a different shot of mine as a desktop wallpaper every other week. Today I selected a shot I took a long while back. I have it posted on RB but for some INSANE reason it has had only 17 views??

I was really impressed with this shot when I viewed it large. For when it was taken I really do consider this to be my most overlooked piece of work here on RB>

Please take a loo…
