One of it's kind by

The photo is taken in a caldera in Kverkfjöll massif on the glaciers north rim. This unique lake, is one of it’s kind in the whole world. On the south side are huge ice walls and on the north side there are boiling hot springs. The lagoon is hot and for that reason, huge ice blocks are collapsing to the lake every hour. A dangerous place to stand near, but so magnetic that it’s simply irresistible. If the ice blocks falls to the lake, you have to run fast to get rid of the waves.
The place is very isolated and hard to get there so I think i was very lucky to get the change to see it.
It’s situated high up in the mountains in 1600 m. over sea level and you have to walk for 8 hours to get there from the nearest road or get there from south, from the glacier.
