Impressive and suggestive: I don’t think you’re suggesting that the two are on the path of collision, I just take it that Thanatos can never be a leader in the human race (take the double meaning of race here), but rather the sneaky and …deadly follower.

The idea was they’re orbiting in conjunction. The love (Eros) sometimes fall in love with the death (Thanatos), the human beings feel terribly attracted by the painful fact of death. =)
