A fair day with blue sky as backdrop provided me with this image of Scotland’s national flag, or Saltire.
Heavy falls of particularly clinging snow had built up coatings as thick as my arm on these clotheslines, and on telephone cables, in our communal backyard.
This photo was taken on 29th November 2010.
I enjoyed the symbolism: seeing, linked within this Scottish emblem, the purity of snow (a fresh start, though building upon what is already there), and of blue sky (opportunities opening afresh, upward and onward)!
