A handsome member of the Shield Bug family (Pentatomidae); species, the Forest Bug, Pentatoma rufipes; about 15mm long.

This was an unexpected but welcome encounter on my first morning of a weekend’s camping!

Photographed Saturday 25th July 2009, on a plastic door handle, sanitary cubicle at edge of main campsite field, The Big Tent environmental festival, Falkland, Fife, Scotland.

    That is amazing. You must have run back to get your camera LOL We always find the most amazing moths on Toilets, I reckon because mostly it s dark in their. Fantastic image and detail ;o))
