Lightsmith Elegy

Have no idea how this measures up to a proper elegy in terms of meter, but, I am happy to have discovered I chose the right word and even the proper spelling, in regards to it being a response to a picture of a graveyard.

Woo hoo!

Graven Image was the inspiraiton, by the way, as you can tell by looking for my comment on there!

Lightsmith Elegy belongs to the following groups:

Complex Simplicity of Art, All Around the Styles, Bits and Pieces , Creative, Talented, and Unknown, Everyday Life, Freedom In Words & Art, Moms 4 Art, Safe Haven, Something To Say, The Healing Journey and THE SISTERHOOD

The blue of mist and frost hung over all, like a shroud
A very fitting tribute, to this oh so stillsome crowd
Branches stretched out, bare and dead, did their part
To mimic dead seeds sown within the mourning heart
Yet the green grass sprung on Springs, waving away
To tell of renewal, and hope, of certain dawning day

Oh, I am so blessed by this – and saddened too, because it has been here 3 months without my seeing it. To inspire, to be inspired, these are the sharings worth more than all the gold in the world. (Maybe not more than all the chocolate, but definitely worth more than all the gold).

    :)

Well … I’m glad you’ve seen it, and approve. Now, where’s my chocolate?
