Glory Heart Mountain

Another wee poem inspired by the work of linaji

Away up high, apple of the sacred eye
Beat the true one, then away did fly
Over hill, over dale, down to bracken
So to battle with lowborn Kracken
Til the very tides ran, to and fro, red
Til no more did beast raise head
Just another saga, here now gone
To delight jaded world moving on

My poetry is like denial, pretense in action; forging on for a few spaces and then petering out lest, in the further journeying, some truth might be uncovered.

Okay, it’s not always, I’m just feeling worn out and cynical.

It is hard to remember of what, once, one was capable; but to no longer remember how to meander down the now long and winding road that leads to your (own) door.

This should probably be in a journal somewhere. lol

I mean: thank you! I’m glad you liked it. It’s just that I used to write much longer ones, full of much richer vocabulary; so to speak.
