Thank you for taking the time to look at my work. If you have time, please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you. / Please read...

Artist Community? Community? How?

Sometimes, I ask myself this, as I watch my artwork get roundly ignored, never having one view or comment from someone who is part of this community, even after years; or, perhaps, having up to 5 views and zero comments in a few days, a few weeks, a few years …And, now, asking myself this, again, after returning to Red Bubble, I can’t answer for anyone else; but, I can answer for me. Since I do not like having my artwork ignored, I do not like it when people join groups for attention and recognition and, yet, give none or very little to fellow members ..

I am making a concerted effort to go through all the groups I am a member of, to view and make comments on several pieces of art. Nothing false. I’ll look at what intrigues me. But, I will do this, because, its what I want the other membe…

For those who are wondering ...

… no, I am not really trying to break RedBubble. It’s just that I was away for a long time and, during that time, I amassed quite a bit of artwork, some finished and some not.…

On top of that, when I got here, I found that some pieces had disappeared, except for the small images that appeared under ‘Edit’ for the calendars, and, some were of very low resolution, mysteriously. So, I am fixing those things, too.

All of this adds up to me spending a lot of time uploading, re-uploading, editing, etc. So, quite a number of these things that I have uploaded are replacements of what had been here, and, others are things I have made or nearly finished making over the last several years. I am not really, then, making several new art pieces every day.

It’s just about as exhausting as if I were, thou

Is there anyone who can tell me ...

…. how come it is that when I uploaded new work, it said Upload to All Products, but, none of those products were posters or any such thing as that?

I can’t find a link to anything where I can ask the people in charge or where I can read the answer for myself.

Thank you.

That’s a lot of being featured for once innocent little bit o’ painting!

Very cool!

Where I've been, what I've been doing

I’ll give you a hint:
(7/23/2009 4:25:17 PM) fleethigh1: Bye. Thanks for talking to me. I love you.…

(5:37:39 PM) andinandoutofweeks: I love you too Heard from CPS again Basically, it’s the usual thing like what they did with Adam and Patricia, but with Jo in their place .. “Oh, she has dogs, but they were secured when I was there, so it doesn’t matter that people have complained about them and have been attacked before.” There is a large dog in the yard, but, since it is in the yard, the baby can’t get to it

(5:38:10 PM) andinandoutofweeks: But, your yard alone makes your house unfit for a child because the baby might get into something in the yard

(5:38:49 PM) andinandoutofweeks: It’s utter illogic, in there, somewhere. Kay and Coal would be dangerous, despite not attacking anyone,

A supplement to your Red Bubble experience, potentially

I ran into this site, via having seen something about it, in passing, on Facebook and then having typed in what I hoped was the correct URL based on what I’d seen. It was

Art Net

I have not spent a lot of time looking it over, but, it looks like another great way to showcase your art, not as a competition with Red Bubble but as a supplement.

Including that, it appears, we could do something (with permissions in place) that so many of us secretly long to do: make our own little galleries of other artists work, our version of the Red Bubble front page experience. Woo hoo!

Anyway, it looked like fun, and I believe it’s free, so, I thought some of you might be equally intrigued to give it a try.

This is so dead on!

My results for a certain quiz:
“I am unique”…

Romantics have sensitive feelings and are warm and perceptive.

How to Get Along with Me

  • Give me plenty of compliments. They mean a lot to me.
  • Be a supportive friend or partner. Help me to learn to love and value myself.
  • Respect me for my special gifts of intuition and vision.
  • Though I don’t always want to be cheered up when I’m feeling melancholy, I sometimes like to have someone lighten me up a little.
  • Don’t tell me I’m too sensitive or that I’m overreacting!

What I Like About Being a FOUR

  • my ability to find meaning in life and to experience feeling at a deep level
  • my ability to establish warm connections with people
  • admiring what is noble, truthful, and beautiful in life
  • my creativity, intuition, and sense of humor
  • being unique and being seen as unique

I think the hackers must be back.

My computer was acting glitchy and now all my art files that were saved onto a rewritable disk, for now, are simply expunged from existence.

This is after a flare up of people attacking me on MCN, again

The files were all there, when I had uploaded the picture of my daughter, and then transferred the file to the disk.

When I logged back in, though, the whole disk was empty, including my writing, personal photos, everything.

Which means that a good whack of what is here on Red Bubble no longer exists anywhere else. Well, I guess that makes them pretty unique to the buyer, now, doesn’t it?
