As a photographer, I return to certain locales over and over again. One of those is anywhere along the banks of the Susquehanna River in Central Pennsylvania, especially along about sundown. On this particular evening, I had made my way down to the bank, somewhere north of the small community of Millersburg, and was a little upstream of this old rowboat, moored along the banks of the river. The real "sunset’ shots were nice – but this shot, taken looking more south-than-west, was the one that I liked best… I somehow liked something about that little boat sitting there, alone, near the vast river.
