The shaken worlds we play in

This is all terribly mundane
He said to his wall
Which said, with no style at all

Absolutely nothing

The vase looked sideways,
Turned itself into a facture of light
And slid delicately out the door

Which, sagging on its hinges
Released an oh so pained moan
And swung itself slam closed

The room sought refuge in the greyness
While the man, exasperated and alone
Stood and danced cheek to cheek
With the pock marked and long suffering floor

The shaken worlds we play in
