Till its bleeding crack dries

To never feeling….alone

Till its bleeding crack dries belongs to the following groups:

The love he has is guilty as tarred grit
It dry retches for mouths
And hankers like a yellow addict
For a soft vein’s pulse

His inner lover says he must flog this guilty love
Smash it on rocks
Stone it
Till its bleeding crack dries
On bleached and deserted cliffs

So he strips himself raw
Shredded and licked by a Maralinga sun
Like his naked skin mattered
As if a spear’s gut piercing
Could gouge out the diseased and despised spot

Just then the earth opened up and swallowed him whole.

really powerful imagery, especially the inner lover’s voice, and to be swallowed
by the earth.. leaves me with much to think about
