This bag was left behind at a bus stop. Child abduction came to mind, so I waited for the right sets of feet in the right spot. The high contrast emphasises crime and intense colour reflects childhood.

Very suspicious looking bag! Where’s your fridge magnet, did you use the 1800 number? lol

Sorry a bit in bad taste I know.

This shot certainly does invoke some contravercial (sorry about my spelling) thoughts though.

Thanks Charlotte and Deborah. Yes I a bit controversial – looked up spelling :) This bag was left behind at this bus stop. I was thinking child abduction (horrible thought). Could be interpreted other ways too. Good to hear Deb – the message is getting through then?.. :) I’m finding it odd and funny how random people find a way sometimes of placing themselves in my shots. Seeking to be discovered? Sometimes works a treat like here.

This is one of those shots that you can sit here for ages coming up with what the story or stories may be… did the person walking away leave the bag there accidentally, or are they running away from it? (in which case you should probably running away too!). The again, a bag with such hideously bright colours would be hard to overlook and forget, and if it were something more sinister (think ‘boom’) you’d think they’d go for something more sublte or discreet! Child abduction, as you suggested, could be the story, but how many young kids would actually hang their bags on the seat – most kids I’ve seen with bags tend to throw them on the ground without a care in the world! Could also be someones lunch, in which case you should have opened it.. and got yourself one of those elusive free lunches!

so many stories can be told over this photograph.

It makes anyone think in any case.

We all have to be in alert, yes, more and more unfortunatelly.
    Children are so vulnerable.
    Strong photo.
    Like the saturation.

Hey Robert, what agreat shot! It’s cool reading all of these interpretations. Isn’t it funny the way context changes seemingly innocent shots into controversial ones? Aprt from anything else the design of the shot is great.
