IDAHO Exhibition invitation

IDAHO Sydney invites artists from all over the place to contribute artworks exploring issues relating to homophobia and/or identity for the 2010 Exhibition LOVE COMBATTING FEAR to be held at Kudos Gallery, Paddington, Sydney for the International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO) – which falls on May 17.

IDAHO is an opportunity to challenge prejudice, discrimination and violence against gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and other sexuality and gender diverse people. The 17 May marks the 1990 date when the World Health Organisation decided to remove homosexuality from its list of mental disorders. IDAHO was first marked in 2005 and is increasingly recognised around the world and on all continents, including in Australia. The City of Sydney officially recognised IDAHO in 2010.
