This Is Oz was launched in Sydney for the International Day Against Homophobia.
This is what I’ve been working on almost non-stop for the last month with my wonderful colleagues. I work on the NSW Lesbian and Gay Anti-Violence Project in Sydney and this is part of my work. The site will be live for three months so there’s plenty of time to upload an image.
It is a mammoth achievement and has already attracted politicians, actors, musicians, sports people and endless other famous, and prominant people as well as every day Australians. But anyone from anywhere can upload an image and a message.
I’d love to see some of you guys and gals upload an image of yourself and a message.
PS – I took a lot of the images in the gallery.

Thanks Peter. Its being launched tomorrow for the International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO) on May 17th – and which is gaining momemntum right across the planet.

Robbie, your link above is not connecting. maybe a temporary glitch. but I know the IDAHO site anyway. I added a couple of stories to the map (Lane Cove in Sydney and Tumut, NSW). That in itself was a somewhat cathartic experience for me. Unfortunately did not have time to make any new art for the exhibition. Where are the photos that you speak of?

Hi J. I think what you are talking about is the ‘IDAHO the Exhibition’ which was opened yesterday in Cippendale. I missed the deadline to get an image into that too – it was great though.
What I have been doing is an online site where you can upload an image. I tried the link too and it didn’t work but the site is active. Try here – www.thisisoz.com.au xx
