Home Two
For a project on homelessness in the inner city of Sydney. I walk past the entrance to this tunnel everyday and have never noticed the light sculpture along one wall – amazing. This tunnel leads to Museum Station and runs off Elizabeth Street Sydney (these location descriptions I guess only make sence to Sydney people…so sorry for the rest of you)
I am going to rename the images for this project ‘Home’ because these are people’s homes…or imply ‘home’...even a blanket in a park could be a ‘home’. Home as we might know it doesn’t mean that another’s choice of ‘home’ is not also a legitimate place to belong, or at least feel connected to or have a sence of ownership of.
Home Two belongs to the following groups:
Street Photography and Photojournalism and The Urban Environment Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

home is also a place deep inside robert… i think you as an incredibly insightful person who has taken up this passion… could do a wonderful series of THAT concept as well…..... just a suggestion…...................b
Robert Knapman replied
Why thanks butch. Thats a great idea and approach…and builds on ‘home as interpretation of place’...mind if I play with that one?

Good series Robert. Love the glow of yellow light at end this and the green texture on the side

darkness of the lights and colors, straights lines… very nice

love the warm glow at the end of the tunnel and the cool greens in the foreground.
quite often I have seen homeless people couple up regardless of gender or sexuality, forming a bond they keep throughout living on the street.
Robert Knapman replied
Cheers Glen. I agree, the bonds formed by some homeless are deep and unique. Thanks for the reminder .)

Robert Knapman replied
Would love to play with a lensbaby some day – never have. I suspect I would be an absolute convert.

It is unimportant if the location does not make sense for me Robert. What i like is the way you capture all these photos (I have commented “home 4” before that one).
You are really talented to find your subjetcs (whatever they are), and talented for shooting.
This one is brilliant. The name of “Home”, is great choice.

I love this little tunnel. It has four sides and each one is very different to the others. You caught the feel nicely.
