Oh…. I think this is beautiful and captures the emotions brilliantly.

Love the colour and light . I think he must be a benevolent vampire then. :-)

The harsh lighting works with this somehow – interesting against a softer background.

Incredible. Ed Pashke-esque. Reminds me of a very scary Rob Lowe dream I had once.

Thanks vanhalen – I treated this in an attempt to accentuate feelings of grief I was having on that day – and this is what I found.

The mere thought that people dream about Rob Lowe is almost as unsettling as this picture.
You captured the mood very well there Robert.

Wow…creepy but ARTSY. I love the unshaven scheme of it and the EYE. Yikes…perfect for Halloween. :)

i’ve read the comments (i always do..at least the ones that say more than “beautiful work” or something similarly mudane…) and for me this all bout the eye…. some much emotion is there but all of it seems dead…..... i’m sorry for your loss that day robert…seems that may have been the day you finally let go…..................... peace and light….....b

  • Robert Knapman replied

Thanks B. That day was the beginning of a period of emotional shedding that left me riven – but certainly stronger and more compassionate I hope .) Cheers

I love this picture and agree with butchart. The eye is amazing, to me it expresses the heartbreak you no doubt felt(butchart explains it perfectly so i don’t have to, lol) and the negative background makes me think of the song paint it black, which explores the hatred of colour and happiness in a time of personal tragedy and pain, how dare you be happy when my life is in ruins. In fact I just decided to play the song to check and they perfectly match. I’m glad you built yourself up again.

oh and damn it that facial hair is HOT!

This is fantastic; the colors, the composition…The emotions that it portrays and evokes is brilliantly played.

    Very, very well done.

I don’t find this one eerie. I see it more as a movement toward something new. Something bright.
