The Dog and the Crocodile came to Tea
This (far left) cup has been travelling around the world – who knows where it is now. Here (an old rectory in Glebe, Sydney). I’ve tried to create a disparate collection of cups (different backgrounds, histories, journeys or purposes) while they have a core similarity, connection or raison d’etre.
The Dog and the Crocodile came to Tea belongs to the following groups:
All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, ART HOUSE PRODUCTIONS INTERNATIONAL, DaDa Land, Diversity Art Store, Gay Men, Object Studies & Concepts, Sydney and Theatrical and Staged Photography Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints

This is fun… but for whatever reason I can’t help but feel the teapot is somehow surrounded as some sort of tea-fuelled siege. Or perhaps I’m just in a weird headspace right now. Either way, its a beautiful image.

A ‘ground attack’ maybe…lol. Soldiers or tea parties separated the boys from the girls haha…Cheers Alex. It’s been an absolute hoot :)

I find special the way you have placed them on th floor.
Out of the place… but then, they have a new personality.
Closer…. to the earth.
There is a sort of hummiliation of the cups…
and a sort of giving them the personality or the soul of each owner…
May be they will start to walk…
or dance around..

Very interesting piece. I was going to ask what the heck that had to do with being gay, as I drink tea all the time while remaining hetero; but, then I read some more.
Can’t say I ever tinkered with tea parties as a child – too busy working and making real tea- but, if I decide to start, I might invite you as you seem to know how they are done, judging by the photo!
