The west coast of the “Big Island” of Hawaii, where most of the resorts are located is known as the Kohala coast. It’s famous for its sunsets, but that doesn’t mean you’ll always see a good one. I took this shot on our last evening while we sat in the outdoor lounge waiting for the shuttle to the airport. Yep, me hanging off the rail again trying to get just the right palms in front of the very painterly sunset. Pretty much straight from the camera with some sharpening.
