Taken on the streets of Arusha, Tanzania, I thought the bond of friendship between these two women was obvious. Meeting in the market place (one packing a kid on her back—see his foot?) this simple gesture spoke volumes.
I added a bit of texture to give an intimate yet happy feel to the picture.

After being widowed, I needed to find something new to occupy my mind. I chose photography. That turned into an obsession, compounded by my love of the artistic license provided by Photoshop and the many other artful programs that help us explore all the facets of turning a photo into art.
