This Maori priest in Auckland, NZ is also a Viet Nam veteran. He spoke to our tour group, explaining Maori history and their cultural and sociatal responsibilities. He endured these tattoos on his face (and other parts) done in the old way with a pointed stick and a mallet when he assumed his duties as a priest. The marks on one side of his face represent his mother’s heritage, the other side represents his father’s. 12/19/11 104 views 6 Features
