Old Cowpoke by Linda Sparks

Old Cowpoke by

This gent was wandering the streets of Tombstone during Wyatt Earp Days this year. I took several pictures, but wasn’t captivated with any. Then I started viewing a number of Photoshop tutorials and found this treatment—Design Effects. It gave me a view that emphasized exactly the features I wanted to show.

About Linda Sparks

After being widowed, I needed to find something new to occupy my mind. I chose photography. That turned into an obsession, compounded by my love of the artistic license provided by Photoshop and the many other artful programs that help us explore all the facets of turning a photo into art.

Excellent work Linda! May I ask you what tutorial you followed?

  • It’s called “design effects” on Adobe Photoshop Newsletter “best of” CD. It’s old, as in Elements 5.

That’s it, but I do have a subscription to photoshopelementsusers.com where you have access to a ton of tutorials online.

  • I might have to do that.
