The architecture is wonderful, the colors pop, and I imagine the prices are sky high. Still, a lucky few call it home.
Thanks to RBubbler Stéphan Alomène, I now know that these are known as “Tetris” condos, originally designed by the Slovenian firm of Ofis Arhitekti.
The provenance of the Tetris is originally a puzzle game invented in Moscow, Russia during the days of the Soviet Union. Its name is derived from the Greek numerical prefix “tetra-” meaning four, as all of the blocks are made up of four segments.”
The building has a faceted external concrete frame structure with all interior walls being moveable. Each block of four rooms is shaped differently, then fitted into those already placed.
