This elephant matriarch was not at all happy when the truck ahead of ours drove through her family unit, separating her from her youngsters. It was one of those moments when your heart rate skipped upwards. Anyone who doesn’t believe that body language conveys more than words has only to be in the presence of a creature who can obliterate you in less than a minute to learn that the instincts of the cave man are still alive in all of us.
