This little grey fox knew exactly what picnic tables mean. As soon as our little group of bird watching tourists set up our lunch at the Jaguar Perserve in Belize, she popped out of the jungle looking expectant. She wasn’t disappointed as we supplied a lovely lamb lunch for her kits and herself. You can see she appreciated it. That tongue was faster than my shutter.
The grey fox is much smaller than the red foxes most people are familiar with, about the size of a small house cat (6 to 10 pounds.) The are adept at tree climbing and are usually quite secretive and reclusive.
