The courthouse dome

The courthouse dome

The old courthouse in downtown Tucson, Az sports a huge and completely tiled dome. It’s bright cheery colors are shone here as reflected in a nearby courthouse window. It just seems a bit more interesting than a straight on shot.

The old Pima County courthouse is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Very well done, Linda. Once again your getting tighter on the shot beats mine.

  • Linda Sparks replied

Thanks. I’m trying to learn to crop in the camera. The print SIG guys liked it but weren’t quite willing to believe it was a reflection and not thru the window. Their loss.

Have the non-believers ask me. I was there.

THEN, I just read your response to Linda above…..... 35 Features in ONE month?? And it’s only the 16th day of the month?? That’s incredible! CONGRATULATIONS!!

  • Linda Sparks replied

Yeah, it turned out to be 36. It is incredible for the first 15 days. I’m not that good, so I must be hitting the right subject matter.

  • AsEyeSee

Don’t sell yourself short, Linda. The subject matter is simply the beginning. From there, it’s your own creative interpretation along with your balanced and beautiful presentation that makes your work unique and special, and stand out from the rest. It’s the whole package!! Your Features are EARNED! Great job.

  • Linda Sparks replied

OK, now I’m blushing. But thanks for the words of support. I’ll keep plugging away.

Yes, this is a wonderful image of our Tucson Courthouse… do you think it’s a reflection on ‘justice’ served there?

  • Linda Sparks replied

Good one. I have no idea how much justice is served in any courthouse these days. Maybe it’s something to reflect on.
