the choice is 1 degree difference. Either we serve. Or we are served.

To join or not to join.
To serve or no to serve.

’Tis the same as asking;

To go or not to go
To live or not to live.

Wouldn’t life be easier if choices were made for us?
No man would regret his decision
for it would be made by destiny’s precision.

The choice set before me is this.

Do I serve? or do I not?

It is a tough choice to make
and a hard life to take

If I make the decision to go
Then I will have sealed my fate.
My life will not be my own.

However if I don’t decide to go
that’s one less hand we have.
one less barrier we throw.

A thought strikes me thinking that.

211* F is hot water.
212* F water boils.

one can make a huge difference.

So do I serve and die for other’s safety?
or do I stay and live knowing other’s are dieing for my safety.

To join or not to join.
To serve or no to serve.

To go or not to go
To live or not to live.

Just a thought that’s been floating around in my head. I don’t really want to join the army but some part of me thinks that really unfair not to so I’m considering maybe 1 year at least….

    Very thought provoking.
    Here’s a suggested title, “One Degree’s Difference”.

  • Thanks for the suggestion Susan, I will consider it. Glad you liked it.

interesting writing, I enjoyed it immensely,
bravo, perhaps ‘to serve or not’ would be a
    good title.
