Don't Drink and Drive PLEASE

The man he drove a real nice truck
until one day he was out of luck

He took a turn really fast
Now he’s left with a daunting task

The man who drove a real nice truck
He stands before the one who took his luck

Are you done?
was it fun?

The man he drove a real nice truck
If he believed in Christ then he’s in luck

The man he drove a real nice truck
If he didn’t believe he’ll say "____’’

The man who drove a real nice truck
He was dear to me so this all sucks

He believed in Christ so he’s in luck
For it could be worse, and I’d be stuck

Rejoice for him for his time had come
Though it has been hard for more than some

Don't Drink and Drive PLEASE by

This happened a few months ago (in May) but I thought I’d write about it so maybe you who have been drinking and driving will see what just a couple beers can do to you. My uncle was a very good driver. But going out and partying had him coming home at 5am with a little too much in his system.

Judgment is the first thing affected after even your first drink. My uncle’s judgment on how fast he could take the turn was impaired and he flipped the truck. He was ejected out and was killed on impact.

Just imagine how your family will feel if this happens to you. I had never seen my dad cry until that day. I had never heard my mom scream so loud out of pain of such a loss (he was her brother). I don’t want to hear about anyone ever having to go through it. Please don’t put your families through it.

If you drink, please read the description.

I am thinking about deleting this in a couple days but I want at least a few people to read it.

I wouldn’t delete this. It sends a valuable message to those who are in need of it. It is a very powerful writing which comes from within your heart. I’m so sorry for your loss! For your families loss. This truly touched my heart. I feel for your mother, losing her brother. I lost my sister and had that scream of pain. God Bless! :)

  • Thank you Nancy.

No don’t delete this…..it is honest and there is a good lesson to be learnt from it…..When you find some other groups to join you can add this to them.
It is good to see a young person being conscientious about road safety.
it shows a maturity gained through experience
Condolensces to you and your family

  • Thank you mana
