Slowly he awakens, a clear mind
Searching within, nothing to find
Alone with paranoia
What is this shadowy place?
Why doesn’t this mirror show my face?
Is anyone here?
Curiosity takes control, driving him
Moving out of the shadows
And into a new world
One without light
No spectrum of colour
It’s beckoning, eternal night
Everything I see, shades of red
So unsteady I walk, what can I trust?
The walls, they bleed
The floor, it moves
What’s happening to me?
What have I become?
Stumbling on, I see him
Sitting like a King
The deepest red I’ve ever known
“Welcome, my child
Feast on the walls
For you are one of us”
A creature of the night
Damned for all of time
No future to call mine
Is that how it is?
What of my past life
You cheated me with deceit
I remeber now, my oath
Eternal existence, for my soul
To merely exist is not living
All of what you offered, is here
But in shadows, in death
In torment, in hatred
Temptation ruined me
Made me a walking corpse
Took all I had, defiled it
Yet I have no more free will
I must face my decision
And swallow my greed
