Idle Minds Venting

Five steps forward,
and the sun is shining on the right side of my face
bracing me with warmth
that becomes unsettling like an awkward hug
finding solace in the shade side
and it’s constant cover, half of whole
the grasp of remorseful is
knowing and consoling

Hearing wise souls consult at night
when sleep evades and worry to well being evicts
their words slipping past unknowing defiance
and clinging after, never reaching usefulness
only gloating with hindsight told you so
cultivating contempt to grow
like vines stretch and leaves span
in brightest moonlight
to an unimpressed, sun starved garden

Torches are passed
trees branches sprawl
or fruit bared should trickle down
all we must know to go forward
but sure is foolish
in the fun loving heart
needing to be unaffected
to be free

Reaching at nothing real
Waving hands through ignorant mist
knowing hurt has no feel in empty fields of bliss
