Here is a little bit of my story and how I came to be here.
When I lived in the UK painting, drawing, photography and creating were hobbies which I squeezed in around training as an operating department assistant and then a nurse.
Emigrating to Australia gave me the chance to make a new life and I started earning a living as an artist.
For 10 years I worked all the local markets and supplied shops Australia wide with my hand made boxes, postcards, mirrors, decorated diaries, screenprinted T-shirts and paintings.
It was a fantastic bohemian lifestyle and a dream come true.
My next ambition was to become a painter and when I got pregnant I used this life changing experience to change my artistic direction as well.
A gallery in Japan discovered me and the next 8 years were spent blissfully enjoying the growth of my son and myself as an artist. I sold well and lived a beautiful and secure life.
Colour, story telling, healing, self discovery and manifestation have been the content and reason behind my work.
Acrylic paint is my favoured medium but I also love experimenting and combination.
Photography has also been a consistant part of my work as a visual aid.
The gallery has now closed and I find myself in a new place – one of re-invention and oppertunity.
The first thing I am doing is upgrading my digital knowledge and loving this amazing experience of community at Red Bubble
