Arctic Forget-Me-Not by

Arctic Forget-Me-Not, known as Eritrichium aretioides or Eritrichium nanum, grows in small clumps in the sandy tundra soil of Alaska’s North Slope. It can also be found in the gravelly soil of the High Arctic and mountains in Alaska, the Yukon, and Siberia. Usually grows to four inches or less. Brightly colored blossoms are punctuated by a fragrant yellow center. This photo was taken on the tundra outside the Native village of Atqasuk.
