Paper sculpture made from “Tin Tin IN The Congo” (Tin Tin Au Congo). A rather racist book of Tin Tin’s colonial exploits in the former Belgian Congo. It has also been in the news recently and removed from the shelves of Borders Australia after a woman in the UK complained about the portrayal of Africans in the narrative. It had been re-edited from the original in 1945(?) but still maintains a particular colonial/imperial/racist flavour.
