Weekend

Posted over 4 years ago

I was lucky enough to get a bit of time to take some pics around the backyard on Saturday morning. Was nice to have the sun out. With the Jasmine starting to come into bloom gave me a good chance to take some pics of the flowers and some bees at the same time. I have just posted 2 shots from the session. Have a look and let me know what you think!

Wow!

I am amazed how many views these pictures attract. I have been a member for about a week and had over 100 views already. The comments I have received are really appreciated.

Just posted the best pic (I think) of the riverfire event. Have a look and let me know what you think. I called it Brisbane Fireballs.

What am I up to?

Lunchtime and decided to add another few pics. I am pleased that this website attracts a lot of like minded people. I’ll be able to get back home tonight to edit the pics I took at riverfire, which I’ll try to post tomorrow.

Riverfire event

I went with my girlfriend to Riverfire last night. I now know what it is like to be a sardine in a can after the train trip into the city. Got to the fireworks a little late, but made it there OK. The photos were taken with a Canon Ixus 50, which is a nice compact camera. For the other pics they require a bit of work to remove some grain etc. Keep an eye out for them :)

Adding big files to RedBubble

I have been able to add a few more images today, however for some reason only smaller image sizes are able to be uploaded now. Not sure why that would be the case. Nice to see some people already seeing the pics.

Lunar eclipse

Posted almost 5 years ago

Tried to take some photos of the lunar eclipse last night. It was a little cloudy but could take some pics when the clouds shifted past the moon. Tried an exposure of six seconds on iso 400 setting with an eod400d with a teleconverter. So literally got a 600 mm lens to take photos with. Unfortunately with this magnification even a 6 second exposure brought out star trails and the moon was too blu…
