Riding bareback in thoughts the memory whip caught on that very place you left your last kiss.
I could not write a sad memory of this if I tried.
I confess I tried to make a snare across an unforgiving cheek and trap my heart without living water.
But there are no regret lilies to pick.
All the shiny has rubbed off explaining the underneath elasticity of love between a rock and a hard place.
I didn’t understand I was both at times, the immovable and the rigid slope that slides only one way.
Gratis improbalis was in my lucky dip, a choice to be free to dine on the improbable.
So when does hope take a seat at this table?
Hope was the hand of reasoning that pulled a little tighter on the jugular
yet didn’t cut the wire in the blood completely.
Metaphorically I believe in the blessings.

I can understand and appreciate this ending verse!:
“Gratis improbalis was in my lucky dip.

brilliant KS ( Red says with undertones of a huge chuckle ) !!!! hope always has a seat at the table he sits next to faith and trust as they both throw their scraps under the chair for all to feast on with glee ….loving this delightfully slippery slide of Flash fiction xxxx
Yep we slide down and climb up again.
Resilient bunch aren’t we :O))xxx

KS…the future holds hope for those who believe. For those that don’t worry and stress. You’re an intelligent woman and as Red put it so nice…trust, faith, and hope are the scrapes to feed on but love is the one to rest in.
Peace, love, happiess, and joy to you all the days of your life,
MM
