Ink Spots and Cherubs

They took him to the doctor to fix him up to be good
“Now young man” the old man in the white coat said
“Please tell what do you see when you look at these?”
The young boy not really a man had a splotchy ink spot
thrust right at his budding pubescent hormone head
“I see lots of cherubs dancing naked under an umbrella”

The doc was flabbergasted at what he had just heard
He replied" Now get serious this minute and stop being absurd"
Out came another ink spot of different angles and persuasions
The young boy sat and looked and looked and said not a word
“Come on now out with your thoughts haven’t got all day long”
Still silence and his parents were shouting loud with their eyes
“Answer him you young mite or you’ll be put with the dog outside
He looked at his mother and father fuming hot under the collar
Without much to lose he replied “portable loos and umbrellas”

The old man in the white coat shook his head with regret
“I’m sorry I cannot help him but can name what ills him so”
The mother and father leaned in closer to hear the child’s woes
“He has imaginitis of a very severe degree” said the doc gravely
They left, the boy, the mother, the father and said not word
Not even a whisper, a snigger or a giggle or sigh was heard
Then the boy stood up and said he had a major announcement
“I’m so happy to have this wonderful disease can I keep it please?”

Just as you see it with a few edits a free flow of nonsense from out of the blue.
The muse is really pushing the limits
me thinks ;O)

Feelings and words fall on to the page
Sometimes they bite back
Sometimes they tug on our sleeve
Sometimes they have a cheeky grin
They stay once a page has found them
Words are faithful to us even in the dark

then (i.e.,some time back) they asked all the 6-year-old students what they wanted to be when they grew up. of course I answered “tall, handsome, and rich.” yep, batting a thousand. it’s odd we claim a society of rugged individualism, yet cookie cutter or lives via “role models.” wtf

  • Well that’s kind ok too me thinks….there are differences when you look even if the same clothing seems to be worn.
Some are just more comfortable perhaps being part of a cookie cutter parade..xx
