Shabby dreamer navigating the Orinoco

Soot lies with animosity on my tongue
the plain truth said over and over again leaving Large Font
Text clear print, plain sight

To complicate the complication of my complexity I fall into Orinoco water
It’s all inside my mind ( but you knew that )
swimming with the desire of reaching the underneath of this feeling that remains still without relief
I touch the tip of the last thought that I want to leave to dry alone on shore
I have a long river of memory
I have a longer tongue to taste where once my thoughts had been

A memory over lived
and you may stumble off your sane precipice
a heart has a will all of its own
tame
whip the beast if does not mind the mastery of the mind

Frown?
This is not the time for concern
Shabby dreamer collect the sticks that did not break your bones
build yourself a raft
navigate the past
A long river is longer when you are drowning

Forgive my heart for I have sinned against myself
Forgive me for my sadness
Forgive my slipping back and no step forwards
Forgive me for seeing more than what my mind was ready to see

The powder of me
fine silk soul crushed by living little and dreaming long
I will float my Orinoco against the odds of my universe
