Shuffling his feet, the coyness of him was transparent in his left shoe turned inwards without regret.
There was no confident stride in this man.
Dust pebbles were feebly scattered from his timid gait.
He was a man walking with all of a little boy’s anxiousness to please.

Would he tell her?

Would today be an end to the bricks that continued to build a tower of isolation and the blood mortar that kept him from accepting the invitation of love?
Drips of him and clay feet holding him back.

A sun apple shone high noon with reddish yellow streaks in the bluest sky.
Clouds were lines of whitish crayon thoughts with minimal impact on the atmosphere landscape.
Rain would not be his excuse of delay this day.

Yet the inner ice caps on his confidence sold him out and held him in the cold freeze of his intention to prove he was a man that could take her to a dream within all her dreams.

His fingers cramped uncomfortably in the physics of his own equations when it came to her who without mathematical certainty he had given his heart to.
His foot dragged a little more as he was now within speaking distance of his earthly supernova.
She smiled a nervous curious kind of smile and noticed that his eyes shone brighter and brighter.
And she began to see more than her stagnant bored heart had bargained for.

She had always held back but now she felt the droplets of something melting…

Artist's Description

I guess it will depend on what roads we have individually traveled to how this is answered……
