Run

run away with me
to milk sand
peregrine green seas
splish splash
tasty salty lips
lick

the insatiable ache
in my back
your touch
heals
lullaby kisses
on my
heart

run away to me
nest in
be
sip lovers julep
feast
on desire

i am here
time will shy
the axis tilts
slide
in to your destiny

Arcadia Tempest

Run by

Is falling in love about falling
or about running head on into your desire?
Is it about finding your destiny?
Do we run with reckless abandon?
Should we run or walk?

About Arcadia Tempest

Feelings and words fall on to the page
Sometimes they bite back
Sometimes they tug on our sleeve
Sometimes they have a cheeky grin
They stay once a page has found them
Words are faithful to us even in the dark

Passionate stuff, Arcadia. Hot and spicy. Remarkable writing! Oh, to your question: They can be both in the same, I believe.

  • Hi Joe….from reading everyone’s comments the general consensus is it’s a mixture of everything.

oh life is so short I say we should always run to love and not walk…! every second counts.

  • Do you really think so? every second…that got me thinking…..

i actually think it’s a mix of both. moments of walking, to find out the heart and soul of someone. and the moments of running, skipping and somersaulting because that’s a part of what makes love incredible.

  • Some love does get you tangles……some of the tangles are a bit tricky :)))

falling in love, as if we are doomed to break something in the fall…falling in love, is it a prediction?
why don’t we call it “rising in love” “Uplifted in love”…we seem to assume by falling in love we are on unstable ground, that love mostly trips us up…so, why not living in love, and, yes, also incredibly in love….

  • Well said…..and what a good idea…..from now it should be rising in love….volcanic in eruption :))))

This is a beautiful poem Karen, you really are inspired lately.

The “falling” bit of love may not be the best bit, but it sure is the most exciting bit. If we walk it may pass us by or we may loose our nerve, if we run it may be over too quickly. If only we could find the right balance where we just keep falling……… but then that’s not the nature of love or falling in………… I think girlinthestars^ hit the nail on the head…. x

  • Inspired I am…..and yes I think GirlintheStars has summed it up so well……especially the skipping. LOL . ..I would add also floating and perhaps laughing as well. XXX
