We have a turtle garden in our backyard where our Grecian tortoises crawl around a big space filled with strawberries and all the things they like to eat. They usually eggs in the summer and come fall the babies hatch. I caught this one in the act.

How very cute!! How many tortoise do you have? I always pick up the Eastern box turtles trying to cross the road before they get creamed and release them in our blackberry patch.
Hi Pam, We have 4 adult Hermanes Hermanes Grecian tortoises; 2 males, 2 females. One male is 65 years old! Then we have 5 babies from 1-3 years old. We also have in another area, 2 Eastern box turtles (raised in captivity). I love them because they look a lot like those we knew from LI.
What a great shot. I love turtles.
Thanks Nadine…helps to have the eggs in an incubator so you can be there at the right moment…
