FEATURED the ‘Hats and Hatboxes’ group 2/20/2011
Colorful, fun, portrait, renaissance, wild, all these words discribe this little experimental effort.
I found this painting by a little known 15th century Italian artist ‘Mateo Olivieri’, and liked it so much I decided to do a repaint. In studying Renaissance art I wondered if the people actually had noses this big or if it was a stylish way to be portrayed at that time, This painting is a side tracked experiment on the actual very detailed painting I’m working on. I took the redraw color rough-in and put it through some photoshoping for fun. I like the result, so here it is. Below is a terrific music that carrys on the fun mood.
Mouse drawn and painted in photoshop 5.5. Windows ’98 platform.
