This is a new version, I have repainted for better skin tones in reproduction and brightened the color. This is my version of ‘Marie Laveau’, voodoo queen and the most beautiful woman of New Orleans as legend has it.
Background pattern is from Dover Publications copyright free archives. The face is originally from Botticelli’s Venus, with a lot of re-drawing.

Thank you, Some one one Redbubble had added a photo of african woman with these neat earrings and Marie was playing Marie Laveau, I dropped cleaning out files and did this while the image was still in my head.
