In this painting the last of the variations on my ’Black and White Figure Study’, I have tryed to capture that milla second of suspenstion in mid air illusion that only the Russian trained ballet dancers seem to achieve. One of the best was the wonderful dancer Rodolph Nureyev who tragically left us to soon.
All my art is music inspired as is the case with most artist. I love music, from classical to gothic rock, Vangelus to country, and I love dance. Wish I didn’t have two left feet. Below is a link to the Sheherizade ballet on youtube. I have loved the music by Rimsky Korsakov since I had to learn the oboe solo in the eighth grade. ’ Playlist’——-let them know Sheherizade deserves more play time than a 42 sec. ringtone and all classical music deserves better treatment than to sound like it’s coming out of a bottle set adrift in the ocean.
